The "Keep Rockport Beautiful" Committee is encouraging everyone to recycle.

City of Rockport residents can pick up a recycling container at Rockport City Hall.


The City of Rockport has curb side recycling pickup through a contract with Allied Waste Services.

Allied Waste, the City’s contracted garbage collector now includes a special recycling sorter; therefore, residents can now recycle more of their household waste. The following items can be recycled:

Newspapers, Magazines, cereal boxes, and cardboard

Cardboard must be cut in 2' by 2' pieces. Do not set out in rain.

Rinse well, remove & discard lids. It is not necessary to remove labels.

Non-acceptable items continue to be glass, paint, automotive fluid and hazardous materials, paper or cardboard products with food stains (i.e., pizza boxes), and plastic bags.  HEB and Walmart both have receptacles at their front entrances for your clean, plastic bags.

Every year on November 15th, Texans participate in events that raise awareness of recycling. 

Due to a 2008 state law, computer manufacturers are recycling personal and home-business computer equipment.  This is a free and easy way to recycle unwanted personal computers.  Manufacturers are responsible for recycling only their own brands. For more details go to TexasRecyclesComputers.org
